Week 12

Came out with a few character costumes with traditional costumes to represent the unique multi-racial culture in Singapore.

But we might have to come up with modern designs for each ethnic race so that we can allow the player to change their costumes when they arrive at the 21st Century Timeline.

This will further enhance the game because it will look cool to our target audience.

We also made more progress on the game where if we arrive on a certain tile, the question at the tile will appear ( Even though now it's just the testing stage yet.) We will have to come up with the questions soon so that we can do other parts of the game.

Week 11

For this week we planned how the background of the game will look like, along with the skylines of singapore and the key attractions that Singapore have, will appear as the player progress through the game.

This will make the game more attractive but it will also be very tedious because it requires quite a lot of flash animation to appear at the background and we will have to draw quite a lot of graphics to make different frames pop out nicely.

We also made some progress for our game, which is to click on a "dummy dice" and allow the player to move through the tiles. Yun Teik had do more research for the board game because we never really make games that's board related during Year 1.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Week 7

Did the research of the different timelines of Singapore Key Events and that we will include some of the events as questions in the game for players to score points along the game.

We will also have to draw out some of the more interesting places in Singapore so that they can appear along on the questionnaires and along the background as the players progress throughout the 50 years' timeline.

We also got Yun Teik to start coding out the game so that we can put up the stuffs into the game very soon.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Week 6

For this week, we have come to the end of our first VIVA presentation to four lecturers - Ms Dai, Ms Anita, Ms Mok and Ms Loo.

We received many feedbacks about our game, and many useful suggestions and changes we can make to our game and the art direction of the game.

We will have to make this game work and the art of the game look good because the lecturers feedback that if we can make our game work it will be great.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Week 5

For this week, we finalised our slides and included whatever we need for our presentation and we also photoshopped and did a few drawings for our game to show the lecturers what we have for our game.

Did a few mockups of both the mobile and the computer version to show the uniqueness of our game that can allow players to connect to the game using the mobile phones as their controllers to control their characters in game.

Also we researched more into the programming aspects of the game because this game will rely heavily programming as well as the visual presentation. We did more research on FLASH because we find that UNITY is something very foreign for us, and therefore if we were to use UNITY we will have very troublesome issues troubleshooting and debugging the game itself in the later part of this game creation.

We also did a risk register for the group to identify the possible risks that will occur in our game and how we are going to assess the risks and come up with possible solutions for this risks before it even occur so we wont have a hard time dealing with these risks in the later part of this project as well.
We categorised these possible risks in different categories and give them a "rating" to determine whether will this risks occur during our project and whether will the risk be a big issue or a small issue to the project .
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Week 4

During this week's presentation to our project manager - Ms Dai, we received many feedback for our slides, because our slides are too wordy and that we should change it, and add some pictures for reference during the presentation to show the panel of judges to let them understand what kind of game and what art direction our game is aiming for.

We also took notes down to make sure we dont miss out any important things that we must include inside our slides.

We also starting doing out some draft board design for the game and the questionnaire part of the game and we got our technical director, Yun Teik to start reading up on some programming websites and books to refresh and further enhance his programming knowledge so we can get some progress done with our game.
